Save this recipe because I promise you will be making it over and over again! It’s honestly a crockpot recipe that works year round! This recipe uses GF ingredients and has an added spin with the addition of Hoisin sauce to pump up the flavor.
1. In your crockpot, combine the soy sauce, honey, tomato paste, hoisin, sriracha, garlic and vinegar and whisk well to combine.
2. Place in your chicken breast and rotate to cover with sauce.
3. Cover and cook for 2 to 3 hours on high, or 4 to 6 on low, flipping the chicken half way through if you are around (if not no worries, will still be delish!)
4. 30 minutes before serving, remove your chicken and set aside.
5. Add the cornstarch to your sauce and whisk until it’s completely incorporated. Replace lid on crockpot and cook on high for 15 minutes.
6. While the sauce cooks to thicken, shred your chicken.
7. Add shredded chicken back into the crockpot and stir until it’s all covered in your sauce.
8. Serve with your favorite rice, roasted broccoli and scallions.
